I wasn't expecting someone on here to fact-check me regarding firearms lol. But, you're right about the .22.

Game & Fish set up a foam rubber deer on a county road once that my brother and cousin came across. My 16 year old brother, thinking it was real, shot at it with a .270 rifle...twice. it blue out the seal around the windshield just from the force.

The merciful game warden let them off with a good talking to.

Bottom line: don't shoot from a car unless your life depends on it!
