You are mis-informed. The products to be shipped through the bluegrass pipeline are for export overseas to be used for plastics manufacturing - they will in no way help with energy independence. Jobs created from building this pipeline will not be good jobs for Kentuckians, in fact - most of the jobs will be temporary jobs and/or will use out-of-state crews.

Fracking fucks up the ground water and lowers the property values for the people that live nearby. It has no societal benefit and only profits a few. It is a prime example of a process that privatizes profit while socializing the costs. Similar pipelines have exploded and leaked, spreading the problem even to areas where fracking is not taking place.

I suggest you watch the movie Gasland and see if you still agree that fracking is a great thing.
