The old paper cartons? Yes.
The environmental impact of the fuel needed for the extra weight of the glass, and even worse, the return trip from store to dairy carrying the empty glass back.
Adds about a ton of weight each way. That's a lot of fuel.
Glass solves one problem, creates another of equal concern.
I'm all for retreating from plastic, but paper solves the micro/nano plastic problem without a huge carbon footprint. (Paper also has a slightly lower energy footprint than glass. Not much, but lower.)
I don't believe glass is the answer.
