The truth: unconvicted individuals are being detained, without trial, for as long as a decade because they don’t have money for cash bail. Some are even murdered awaiting trial.
Under the new law, prosecutors can detain individuals — but not just because they don’t have bail money.
The political firestorm is the product of those profiting off the detainment for bail system imho.
