3. Much better weather than expected in Miami-Dade today

Not raining, despite the 90% forecasts for these hours from yesterday. It looks like there may be late afternoon showers. Hopefully the Souls to the Polls and other turnout events manage to squeeze in before the thunderstorms expected at 5 PM and later.

As I've emphasized since returning to Miami, the GOP prioritizes this county all year long by every method, including now heavy social media push aimed at framing Democrats as socialists. The Andrew Gillum nomination jumpstarted that type of thing. I have no idea why there is such reluctance here to accept that. We may have liked Andrew Gillum's speeches and television appearances. But DeSantis and his cronies used that nomination to ignite fear. There was a reason the GOP featured a Cuban businessman from Miami on the first night of their convention, pushing that same socialist fear. We had virtually zero Hispanic input in our convention.

Then we wonder two months later why Republicans in the most heavily Hispanic county are turning out, while Democrats comparatively are not.

You have to do it all year long, and not desperately jump into the game in the final two months. There is only so much reversal Bloomberg commercials can have while beginning so late in the game.

I still think it's okay. Miami-Dade ballot return rate jumped 6% today, up to 55.6%. They've been sending mailers every day asking people to mail those ballots. I'm sure non-voting Democrats are being contacted by phone and text.
