7. Oh what an experience! I envy you.

My mother and I went to the White House during the Dubya years and they wouldn't let us in. I had contacted our senator months before and somehow we "fell between the cracks." To make up for it, we got a tour of our senator's private office. My mother had written a nasty letter to Nixon in the early 70s and she was convinced that was the reason they refused to let us in. I didn't think so, but who knows? She may still be on some FBI list somewhere.

Before Obama was running for president, he came to a union hall in downtown Detroit for a rally for then candidate for governor, Jennifer Granholm. As he was leaving I got a chance to speak to him for a moment and I told him I was a Cubs fan and he said he hated the Cubs. Ha! He is a well-known White Sox fan. I was happy to see that apparently Michelle is a Cubs fan! She was so excited talking about them winning the World Series on Kimmel last night.

Have you ever seen the ice queen be excited about anything? But then, look who she's married to.
