for about a year and it does have some quirks. The guide varies its look depending
upon which device you are using it on. We use it on PC, Chromebook, Apple TV and
Amazon Fire Stick. It gives a show synopsis on the Apple and Amazon, not sure about
the pc (I don't use it much that way). You have to right arrow from the main channel
selection to the actual show you are wanting to view to get the information about the
show.
As to the local affiliates, I don't think we get them all, CBS and ABC, they have
occasionally changed for some (probably contractual) reasons overnight...so weird. There
are times when a particular channel won't seem to work at all for an hour or so and
some days of more buffering on some channels. Direct TV Now works better (for us) on
a wired network connection as opposed to wifi, but both generally work ok.
We got it with the $35 for "life" package they offered when it first came out so we are
keeping it. Still cheaper than cable or sat (we have had both) and with a decent internet connection
(ours is 50Mbs down and 10Mbs upstream) it fits our needs. We also use NetFlix and PBS
online quite a bit and have antennas(indoor flat ones) that usually pick up several channels
including the local ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS...Hope this helps...
