1. I love this band.

Thursday

I have since 'Motorcade of Generosity'.

So, there was this summer series of concerts in Nashville called 'River Stages'. They always had good bands and I got to see some great ones. Cake played there one year. It was a noteworthy performance because that just happened to be the same night that the hazardous waste plant that was about three hundred yards from the concert site burned to the ground. (The new baseball stadium sits there now. Well, new to me.)

At one point, the black plume was settling towards where we were, and John McCrea took the mic and said...

"Okay, when the smoke gets here I want everyone to go **inhaling noise similar to smoking cannabis**!"

(The smoke never did settle low enough to do that. Good thing.)
