... Mock goulash, stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage; spaghetti on Fridays, roast chuck or fried chicken or chicken paprikash on Sunday.
My favorite of all food smells came from the Westside Market in winter. They would hang canvas to cut the wind and burn the crates the vegetables came in. Banana's were $.10 or less a pound. We lived about 10 blocks away, we'd go every Saturday.
