(16,313 posts)Lots of work ahead, but preparing to fight it is the first step. Regarding the point you referred to, the fear of being seen as a kook is a factor in silencing people, until they overreach this much.
After that, its time to pushback against the BS that everyone who wants questions answered about what is relevant to their society or country or is not satisfied that the system of trust holds any further, is just paranoid or another person to be herded into a lame sellout that yet again moves societys centre in two distinct directions: 1) farther right and 2) more anti-intellectual/tabloid.
My trust was violated and I was treated as the questionable party and so there is no further white flag from my side. I just wanted to find my way to the left which is responding to this ugly mess the right way.
10-14 years ago there was no way to find anyone to support one or even comprehend the hell one was going through because the deep fascism of the tech bros and those who passively enabled them was not as obvious.
Duer CrispyQ had a graphic from indivisible she posted a while back which I really liked.
