God its been years ago….

AppleJacks in La Honda

Not too far a drive from Neil Young’s (now former??) ranch Broken Arrow.
Although maybe technically located in Redwood City,
But I don’t see how, maybe town of Woodside has borders way away from
‘city proper’….so whatever ‘city’ it’s located in….for me it’s either Woodside WEST,
in the coastal Santa Cruz mountains I frequented. But not that far from La Honda either.

I could swear Neil Young was at AppleJacks when I was there one late afternoon,
I sure wasn’t going to bother him either. Just do not ever bother people , that are tired
of general population walking up to them all the time —- hell, I would hate it too.

Apple Jacks is a unique bar,
dogs walk in open door, lay around,
Redwoods, winding road outside west to beach or east up Santa Cruz Mountains

It’s better than Alice’s Restaurant up on Skyline,
Too busy, too crowded there a lot.

What makes the electric version my favorite song is the interplay between Neil on lead guitar & Danny Whitten on rhythm MichMan Mar 2025 #4
