6. You need a president that will physically climb up on top of the bully pulpit

and raise holy hell just like Ratigan did. It will be necessary for the president to make a spectacle of himself.

We might need to use the military to stop the extraction. Once the American people actually understand the problem no politician would dare say, "We don't need a new Glass Steagal." or "You can't increase taxes on the job creators!"
