Newsom is ahead in the name recognition polls, because currently he is the loudest Dem mouth in the room. While I enjoy his trolling of Trump, that hardly makes him the best choice for the 2028 nominee.

Wait 18 months, as the field of Dem candidates becomes crowded, and then see how he’s polling.
