I've heard that from more patients than I care to count. It would be ludicrous if it didn't result in such a high body count; people coming in to my clinic, ostensibly seeking medical advice, and then rejecting that advice when I give it to them.

No one is going to force you, my dude. But if you're not going to take my medical advice, don't waste my time by walking in the door in the first place. I've got plenty to do already, and patients who will take my medical advice.
