9. Yeah, students are driving this trend as much as universities....

They are competing to fill those dorms and sports programs with wealthy students, and those students want fancy rooms, and student centers, and art studios, and computer labs, and theaters, and entertainment complexes, and big name bands, comedians, speakers, etc, etc.

It's an arms race of luxury. Actual education? Not so much.
