The discrimination continued into the 1900's.
JFK was given a very hard time in politics because he was Irish Catholic.

In the 1960's I was refused entrance into a children's group because I was Catholic.

And the point is that ethnic white people have been discriminated against in the US.

The time line was not the point of the discussion.
