We've been living in politically charged times, never so much as these last years...

When the LGBT wedding cake controversy erupted, followed by the marriage certificate denialism, it left an indelible wound on the psyche of all LGBT people (who are living openly); and it's insult to injury for Whoopi to have to apologize, even if what the shop owner said was the truth. There's too much salt being used on open wounds!

The absolute scrutiny and disparagement that has been taking place in all matters of transactional business affairs; from Insurance and doctors visits to car mechanics and roofers - there exists an undertone of discrimination at the most fundamental level of human dignity. I'm talking about everything from refusal to do business by using some convenient excuse to intently performing careless negligence or even vindictive sabatoge. Oh, it exists out there, and it's now a performative agreement backed by millions of the pridefully irreproachable "Christian" right! A wink and a nod between them marks the assurance that gaslit and guarded denialism is at hand.

What is most disturbing about this situation is that we're now living in the easy access digital age. What that means is everything about your private affairs are easily made available to a stranger, or a shop owner at the press of a button; and LGBT are now, more or less, a marked target for 2nd or 3rd class citizen, if even regarded as human at all!

Woe to LGBT who have residence in the biblebelt regions. We're moving into times where you're going to be oppressed by a hostile environment, and it's with deep concern that I make this statement clear.
