(142,396 posts)74. The talk of "Recess Appointments" is a trial balloon
and it is something that won't be decided until the 119th Congress is sworn in January 3, 2025, when they have their formal leadership elections and they start drafting their "Rules".
But if both chambers of Congress decide to go "full loon", they may just allow them to thwart any Democratic member blocks. The Senate still has a couple GOP "institutionalists" in there, so they may balk and kill it or perhaps allow it only if there are caveats and stipulations for such.
