Every single time he brings up the election as a reason for anything, Judge Chutkin not only shoots him down, but gives a good talking to, at the same time. I expect no difference here. The trial started long before election time, and only because T, himself, kept kicking it did it fall back into this "terrible" time frame for him. The judge recognizes this, and I think she gets a few chuckles out of it (all the while being within the letter of the law, of course!)
