But also consider that the "Founders" created a new government having come from a Parliamentary system (which the majority of countries around the world use), with many parties and instances where multiple parties come together to form a "coalition government".

So vestiges of that are present in our government, with what could be those smaller "parties" ( "back benchers" ) already in coalition with either of the 2 major parties.
