Thanks to Trump's tariffs, Brazil is on a breakneck pace to cut down rain forests, the lungs of the world, just so it can create more tillable acreage for soybeans and other crops that China is now buying from Brazil instead of the US. Brazil's Bolsonaro wants to expand market share and cement Brazil's increasingly lucrative relationship with China, at the expense of the planet.
