9. There aren't as many meetings available, but I've found it to be incredibly enlightening

Kind of goes farther than AA, for those of us with those additional issues. Only about half of my group is also AA, and it's a fairly small group. And I find this surprising, since one thing I hear all the time in AA is "I come from an alcoholic family." But it's not well known, so I try to spread the word. The woman who told me about ACOA has had addiction issues, just not alcohol, and, in turn, I brought someone with me. So glad to hear it's helped you too!
