The GOP doesn't want us to know that there is time for us to stop them. If I weren't part of a nationwide phone call on Sunday I would've assumed the same thing since the news made it seem like the Fri vote was the end.
On Sunday I learned that there is time and I have been trying to get the word out. Especially in CA where the Tax Scam will really hurt homeowners and the GOP reps in the state are very nervous now that we know better. They should be scared.
The House and Senate have two separate bills. They have to agree on a single bill. Ryan has to choose a committee and it will be behind closed doors. The two chambers have to "negotiate" and come up with a single bill. This is what gives us time (until Jan 1st for now anyway). There are 28 congressmen who voted for one bill but not the other bill. They have to agree on one. We need 23 congressmen to flip it in the House and 3 in the Senate. If Moore loses, then we need only two (due to Corker). That is why the GOP is supporting a pedophile. They need his vote on the bill. Since CA is BLUE and has so many congressmen, our state alone could kill the tax bill if we all get together and pressure them relentlessly. Social media is crucial. If you have family, friend, whoever in the state try really hard to get them to call their reps in both houses. The work we are doing IS working!
