Like the guy running for Governor. Jeffrey Payne. And before I get flamed, I am most definitely in favor of LGBTQ rights. But this guy is not going to win, and I think we all know it. Rather than put up a "show", I wish the Democrats would put up a truly viable candidate.

Chris Perry is running against Lamar Smith, and I LOVE Chris. He's got some great ideas. But he comes across as "wimpy", and that's not going to cut it in Texas. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but I've lived in Texas my entire life and I know how the people around me think. They want a strong presence. They want someone who can command a conversation. Chris just doesn't cut it in my opinion as much as I wish I were wrong.

I would take great pleasure if either Payne or Perry were to win. No one would be happier than me. But I just don't see it happening, and that saddens me.
