(13,443 posts)I honestly feel our country is better than this, and I feel this is not the America I was raised to believe in.
Having said that, I am extremely proud of the resistance I see growing every day, and I am also very proud of how people are coming together to defend what we feel is important. I am staggered at the way people are banding together, and I'm encouraged. In the words of Will McAvoy, "No, America is not the greatest country in the world. But is CAN be."
Stand strong and do your part to defend all that we hold dear. Raise your fist, scream, march, write letters and make the phone calls. Run for office yourself if you feel you can, volunteer for programs, VOTE--in EVERY election. The one thing that will make America great again is for us all to shoulder some of the hard work and responsibilities. Don't drop your eyes, don't look away in shame.
Regards!
