In reply to the discussion: Woman donates hair to cancer patients is mistaken for trans, harassed in restroom [View all]happyslug
(14,779 posts)39. I was a guard at a school, when it was reported that a man was in the woman's restroom.
The report came from Law Student in a dress (it was about 8:00 pm). I was sitting talking to a police office who had stopped in on his foot patrol. When told of the man in the woman; restroom, the officer then called his partner, who had gone downstairs to use the rest room to look into it. His partner reported back the only person in the female restroom was her, The Student had used another stall and saw the officer's boots and assumed she was a man by her boots. These real REAL hiking boots, for the female officer was on foot patrol and went for the most comfortable black shoe she could find that was also water proof (it was WINTER).
Such complaints are NOT new, that was almost 30 years ago, but I remember it to this day.
