I posted elsewhere that I'm not sure "sweeping" is really the term for this: it looks like DOJ wants to make permanent some existing temporary rules, including the domestic violence one, modify the NFA definition of a pistol, and has expressed intent to make unspecified proposals in other areas, but thus far it doesn't seem* like there's a reason for anyone to get excited here...

Here's the list of DOJ entries in the Unified Agenda that this all appears to be based on.


* Caveat: I am not a lawyer, so perhaps I'm completely missing the gravity here.
