(150,473 posts)the primaries for any other candidate to win the nomination. And that's true in every state. With that kind of current support for Clinton, other candidates are going to have to rely on primary election GOTV efforts the like of which have never been seen before to beat her. I do not believe that will be possible in enough states to keep Hillary from being nominated at the Democratic National Convention.
If Hillary decides not to run, the field will be completely open. However, I doubt that any of the alternative candidates can win in the general election in 2016 against any of the leading Republican candidates. I believe Hillary Clinton will run and that she will get the nomination easily. If so, she will have my support and I will campaign for her as part of my local election activism.
