The ACA is Big Insurance's wildest dream come true. But due to the fact that it was passed by a Dem president, many otherwise sane liberal people have gotten on board. And make no mistake, it's never going to get "fixed" to where it's SP. Big Insurance's 20% (at least) slice of the pie is there for the foreseeable future. It should be abhorrent to any American who thinks health care is a right. 600 billion dollars per year to the insurance industry is too high a price to pay to support a Dem president, especially one who declares, "Insurance companies have a right to make a profit".

The quote in the OP is true. So Krugman and the rest of the handful of liberals who still write for the traditional press should be screaming for the president to act more like FDR and less like Reagan and Rmoney.
