The Koch bros. et al instituted this eons ago. The Tea Party and everything that followed was scripted to create a population that was so stupid, gullible, and easy to control to enable their rise to power and the horrors we’re living in right now.

This idiocy was cultivated—the changing of educational goals, the reduced standards, derision toward any and all things intellectual--all of it. The right wing created a gullible monster and steered it into what MAGA is today, to the point they had an army of directable goons to do their will and put a cabal of monsters into power.

I highly recommend this read, which is free on the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/pdfy-SYN9t0cHh1aFu8XV/mode/2up
