I’ve contacted my representative and senators, all Democrats. (As noted above, all I’ve gotten are recordings, btw.) And I’m willing to do more. As others have said, I am one person. My voice alone isn’t strong enough to make a difference. I will not be sought out by reporters. Our Democratic officials could be.

I want leadership to provide guidance and focus. Of course I realize we have no majorities. I’m despondent about that. But we have our voices which, if united, can be heard. Give us messaging. Give us tasks. Speak to those affected by this immoral administration. Begin the 2026 campaign. And don’t imagine for a moment that that means sending texts dunning me for money. I’m in no mood. Show me something to donate for and you might open my wallet. But it will not happen with the lack of leadership and imagination I’m currently witnessing. I don’t need scolding. My eyes are wide open. I need a leader.
