(5,467 posts)I wrote on my calendar November 5th the day democracy died- the full truth is it was already dying for quite some time for the past eight years at least in a severe way. And starting with when you pardoned a president who committed crimes which endangered the nation, and allowed the Supreme Court to anoint a president who wasnt elected.
There are other examples in history which others will bring up I am sure. Im looking at more recent events.
Now we have a president elect, who attempted a coup and incited an insurrection, who murdered millions of Americans, and tortured the rest with psychopathy, who will be put in place no doubt to murder millions more Americans, possibly collapsing the economy. Who himself is a traitor and who is beholden to our enemies. With a corrupt Supreme Court, and a corrupt fascist party enabling him.
