For a long time now I've felt that Alito [View all]

reminded me of people from the past and I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. Until today when I was researching something that had a reference to times when ignorant people believed that tuberculosis, aka "consumption", was the work of vampires. It immediately made me think of other ignorant times and it was then that it came to me in a flash. Or it might have been a blood pressure spike. But anyway here goes.

Doesn't that smug, tight sneer, looking down his nose remind you of a Puritan schoolmaster standing at the head of the class, barking at children with his whipping stick in his hand?

Now maybe it's just my high pizza diet but I also think that Don Jr. would be the village sot who gets put in the stocks all the time.

Maybe I need to get out more. Maybe not.
