7. Recount Probably Won't Change the Count Very Much

He is only down 26,520 votes but with 82,000 remaining to be counted - he has to take 66% to win.

Possible but not likely. Recounts tend to change the numbers slightly, but equally for each candidate.

Time to start looking at the 2026 when Rs have to protect 20 Republican seats while the Ds have to worry about 13. Sounds like fertile seat-stealing time
