(3,240 posts)Deciding on user name, login, copying my bio from Twitter and pasting it in, uploading a profile pic (same as the one I use on Twitter) and a banner.
Then searching for and liking several accounts, and importantly retweeting a few posts. Also creating one or two posts on your new account that will give others a flavor of who you are.
I did it on my laptop Friday so I could access the pics. Today I got the free app from the app store, logged in, and then found some interesting posts.
I love the Starter Packs (personal lists of who you may want to follow because of their content, say librarians, lawyers, reporters, news sources). I'm impressed with how quick and easy it is to find a bunch of good content right away with those.
The other cool feature is that various engineer-types have created lists of accounts you may want to mute or block (MAGA, AI/Crypto, Pedos, etc). Subscribe to them and they either allow you to mute/block or to label all the tweets so you know they're suspect. Or you can go through their list one-by-one to do it.
