with one caveat. Each year in U.S. over 1 MILLION safe abortions reduce the number of unwanted kids by a MILLION. Criminalize abortion and my best guess is 100,000 women are discouraged from risking an illegal, unsafe or newly expensive termination.
In effect, your numbers are too low n by a factor of TEN.
