I recall a pig farmer telling me years and years ago that pigs kept in a pen will only defecate or urinate in one corner. Perhaps it's because when they roll around on the ground or in the mud, it's to clean their skin (much like elephants, I believe). So they obviously don't want to have feces-covered hides.

I've always hated hearing folks refer to police as pigs.

And Orwell had it right about pigs in "Animal Farm". They are smart animals.
