He caught a respiratory bacterial infection that made him really sick. He spent almost 10 days in Columbus Childrens' Hospital, with a drainage tube IV antibiotics, and on O2. The drs. isolated the bacteria and it was some obscure strain. My poor little fella was so sick. He had to spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day there. Even after they removed the tube and he got to go home, he had trouble with the area where the tube was. He played basketball and got hit right there and almost collasped from the pain. He still gets winded easily. He has scar tissue in his lungs and the dr. thinks it is permanant. He was 9 when he caught this illness, and it took him YEARS to regain his stamina, and security. This is the fisrt summer he has gladly participated in sports. I'm just grateful he survived and hope he has made a full recovery.

I already don't know how people can be so heartless as to allow their elderly loved ones to sicken and die in front of their eyes. I really don't understand the stance of exposing your offspring, the future of our species for Christ sakes, to a disease that is going to make them sick, make them vulnerable, reduce their health, kill them. Wear a mask. Let your kids wear masks. Get the vaccine and when it is okay for your kids to get it, have them get it.
