"Yes, I'm going to expand the court." You could hear the yelling from DC to my house in Oakland without a microphone.

There would be endless debates about whether or not it's unconstitutional. That would be followed by whether or not it would be fair to Republicans, aka "bipartisan." Alan Dershowitz would render an opinion. So would Mitch McConnell. Chuck Todd would "both sides" it. So would Bill Maher. Michael Moore would call it "too little, too late."

The most they have now is "he wouldn't answer the question."
