7. +1, my understanding is most of the rep govs aren't up for reelection this cycle so they don't care

In 1918 herd immunity snuffed out the American Flu (since it started here in the US, not in Spain) but that was after 600,000 people died.

It would be 2.4 million + if that happened today.

Also learned the people then sheltered in place and wore masks too.

American experience Influenza 1918 will leave your jaw open all the way ... even though we have the technology to keep people from dying by the 10s of thousands we're not doing to much different from then
