She was also chair of the graduate student external affairs board. Got to travel to DC to lobby Congress, in particular that provision in Paul Ryan's tax monstrosity that wanted to tax graduate tuition scholarships as income.

Angela Merkel has a PhD in P Chem. Hmmm. What do you think?
