I will never understand these people, in the same way I cannot fully understand the fascists in Hitler's Germany. It can be explained, over and over, about how certain economic, social and political crises and issues led to the rise of tyrants, and the horrible deeds committed, but there's still an enormous denial of reality, legality and fair-handedness of that people must undertake to latch onto these raging ideologues. That, and a blindness to the suffering of others. It's as if their DNA is wired to lack compassion, with zero ability to see things from another person's perspective.

You'd have to surrender your soul to be able to follow such horrible, destructive autocrats.
