BREAKING: IMPEACHMENT over Epstein file violation SURGES into news

No one is saying there’s nothing we can do.

Ro Khanna & Thomas Massie drafting impeachment against Pam Bondi over Epstein files. Massie says there’s twelve to fifteen Republicans who would support impeachment.

impeachment in the house would be quite the spectacle.

Frankly, it seems that the Epstein scandal would be the perfect off-ramp for congressional republicans. They can force the files to come out and pretend they’re shocked, shocked! and distance themselves from Trump. If there’s enough momentum they could impeach him. I know the odds here are about 1%, but I definitely get the feeling the Republicans are seriously scared for their careers. It’s the perfect excuse to cut their losses.

Don't you find it odd though, that for all the repuke concern and pearl clutching, none of them have collaborated to switch to the Dem party, impeach, convict, and prosecute?

Instead, they choose to slither away quietly...

Spineless pricks.

I'm sure there are people out there that are cheering on the basis of, "We want representation that is DOING something !"

Okay. But, that should be balanced off against - the wasted political capital spent on silly and pointless maneuvers that are going absolutely nowhere. The likelihood of Pam Bondi actually seeing impeachment (yet alone conviction, which is the only true measure of consequence involved) is as close to nil as -273 Kelvin. It's a fool's errand - and it's really kind of too bad that there are proponents gobbling this up as if it had real meaning.

Fight like hell for health care - and an honest accounting and application of immigration tactics ...
There's plenty to be done. But, this .....

Maybe you were intentional - sort of like when trump talks about reducing drug prices by 600%.

and on the basis of (clearly mostly forgotten) science classes.

0 Kelvin = -273 Celsius (which is what I was reaching for .. while trying to sound smarter than I obviously am)
Appreciate the correction.

I don't get the strategy....

Are we--the base--really so fragile that we are demanding these things to feel like we have fighters on our side in order to actually not stay home and sit on our hands in the next election?

Every minute not pointing out the damage the malAdministration is doing to the economy, healthcare, childcare, housing costs, etc., and saying exactly how you propose to fix all of those things is a minute wasted.

Impeaching Bondi may be an entertaining exercise, but it will ultimately get the McConnell treatment if it makes it to the Senate and fail unspectacularly.

Maybe the best we can hope for is that it distracts her from the total destruction of our country. I guess that would be worth something.

Think I counted 5 that served full terms since 1960. I think if we do go after them then go big. While impeachment doesn't do much damage to someone who really doesnt give a shit about running for a federal position in the future it also could put a notch in a few repukes belts come next Nov saying they were on the right side of this (if successful) thereby shifting some political capitol to them. If we're going to do anything hit them hard with criminal subpoenas and even asking for an appointment of a Master court and that the Sergeant of Arms arrest her and Blanche for contempt. Yes I know that scenario that won't be successful and shot down quick as no repuke would go for it. But it wastes no political capitol and keeps the repukes on the defense as we could continue to add pressure along with the victims as we have been and also would be a warning that if we get the House we won't be playing softball. She'll quit if we win in Nov if not before. Like you, I'm tired of playing behind the sticks with these assholes. We need to get out ahead of them and not fester on something thats likely to happen anyway, her (and likely Blanche) being gone.

If the maga senate votes it down, all the more reason to vote the MAGA senate out in Nov.

Now is the time to keep attempting to apply consequence!
