The firings are intended to test the waters, to see if the public is sufficiently moronic to accept without question the retaliation -- for political reasons -- against professionals who were doing their jobs professionally.

When our media plays it down -- as we know they will -- the Fascist Administration will see that flaccid reaction as a signal to up the ante, violating constitutional principles and legal precedent in ways that would infuriate the populous -- if the populace was ever properly made aware of them.

Ugly days and uglier years ahead.
