SARASOTA, FLORIDA: Hurricane Milton made landfall fairly close to Sarasota round 830PM local time as a category 3. In the eye wall - major winds and power explosions were noted. Tres and many lines came down during the worst of the winds. - 10/09/2024.

And it makes me cringe to see reporters getting drenched and blown off their feet, reporting from the worst of the storms.

I heard earlier today that all pets are welcome at the storm shelters.
