3. Let me get this straight - R's saying they are voting Harris vs Trumpy

increases 4% month over month, an 8% SWING in vote totals - and the virtual tie goes to a 3% Harris lead? That makes no sense UNLESS Harris is losing Dem and Independent votes and that I find impossible to believe.

She leads among Democrats, of course, by a much higher margin than he leads among Republicans, and they now appear more enthusiastic and likely to vote. She now has 9% of the Republicans who respond to the polls. Assuming that there are about an equal number of Republicans and Democrats, their isn't, but assuming like the polls, the difference would net her about 5%, plus what she now has among independents and swing voters. How they calculate that with 750 person samples is hard to figure.

Trump hasn't achieved a percentage any higher than his past two election cycles.

The pollsters still use averages and trends picked up while Biden was running, which makes me wonder if that's not one of the reasons why this is closer than it seems it should be.
