The first time I heard it I said Who the hell is THIS? Been a fan ever since. Saw the little band that could 3 times in concert.
..so the airplanes wont get snagged 🤔
Theres been much thought and conversation about that line over the years.

I thought those are there for purpose of small planes and helicopters to see them, no? Anyways cheers to a fellow REM fan!

There's so many of those songs I still have no idea what the words are but I can sing along like I know exactly what they are lol.

I dont mean poetry in a high faulting way Stipe made poetry words that I heard or had a thought completely dependent on what ever the hell I had on my mind.
