Trump's defense should thank the government's redactions for helping Trump not commit further federal crimes. It's still an ongoing investigation and criminal trial case.

add all that to a whole new trial filing. I say this because Smith said: “I intend to conduct the assigned investigations, and any prosecutions that may result from them..."

Instead, he's actually trying to help Trump not commit crimes of threatening witnesses. Of course that's not wholly true.

Of course he's primarily protecting witnesses. But because there isn't enough money and funded security for large scale witness security, he has to redact.

And his priority needs to be to move forward, these crimes should have gone to trial long ago - November's election is no excuse.
