1. Because of the fact he still

has the high percentage of support he does it clearly shows to what extent this country is extremely racist, bigoted, homophobic, sexist and anti-Semitic. The image of us as a largely accepting nation has always been at odds with the reality as so many could attest to. These hateful people have always been here it's just they felt restrained from displaying it for much of the last decades until this horrible man came along and now they have their champion for their hate and ignorance. They do not want to let go of being able to openly discriminate, name call and attack. Sadly it's more in the open and rising in the EU as well.

2. moniss has hit the nail directly on the head

Trump has opened the gates to hell and let all the DEMONS out. Scary, but true. And yes, not just in this country but globally hateful prejudices are flowing freely. Very scary and very much like pre-world war II.

4. The comments of Roberts were absolutely

staggering to me when I heard them. A person making such erroneous statements can be understood as ill informed if they come from someone horribly ignorant of the facts and a generally uneducated person but Roberts has no such impediments and so it can only be concluded that it was thoroughly intended as a racist lie.
