It will be Sunday or mid-week next before Trump attempts a recovery. And time is all he's got.

The Harris team had this gamed out. This is a new style of political debate that will endure. You can't beat up your opponent without legitimacy, but you also can't suffer a beating if you have legitimacy.

That is the lesson of last night.
